The mind of a child.

I was teaching a client today who is in her early 70's , she was looking after her granddaughter who is 18 months old and teething.

she was asleep when we started our lesson but woke up a little earlier than we expected

kathy picked her up and and put her on the ground with us,she saw Nana was relaxed on the mat,

she stopped crying laid on the mat with her and said sleep Nana.

Very blessed to experience such a beautiful moment  in both their lives.

Yoga: A major help in the cancer treatment process

Life in a hospital is surely different than the past. Instead of just one doctor, specialization is leading to multiple physicians for each patient during their health care process. With the changing of doctors and the fast paced atmosphere of today’s hospitals, time for patients to relax, reflect, and find tranquility is highly valuable. With peace, relaxation and stress reducers being highly valuable, yoga has quickly become one of the most popular options in complementary therapy for cancer patients.

The benefits of yoga for the average participants are pretty popular, especially the benefits from an exercising standpoint. From a physical nature, yoga can also have a great effect on cancer patients. It has been known to help in cases of major muscle problems and body tension during the routine treatment process. Yoga has also had an effect on the body of cancer patients by lowering blood pressure and improving the central nervous system.

The mental benefits of yoga are another reason that it has become so popular with cancer patients. The mental benefits are largely based on yoga’s nature of relaxation and tranquility during the time of traditional treatment. The treatment process is largely filled with numerous tests, checkups, and therapy processes, therefore a break of tranquility is highly valuable.

Another great reason that yoga is becoming as popular as a complementary treatment option is that you can take part in a number of different routines on a regular basis. Some patients choose to allow a daily session of ten minutes in the morning and at night. Others may elect to have an hour long yoga session once a week, which could serve as a lengthy cut off from the fast paced hospital environment and treatment process.

A number of different kinds of patients have been reaping the benefits of yoga during their treatment processes. Victims of diabetes, arthritis, mesothelioma, and other types of cancer have taken advantage of the benefits of yoga during the treatment process. Yoga has helped in cases of muscle stress and helping with total range of motion, cutting down on the body’s stressors. It has also been used as a major help to decreasing the side effects of routine therapy. Patients with peritoneal mesothelioma have used yoga to help improve their range of motion in their chest and abdomen area, where the disease has attacked them. Regardless, there are a number of different patients that are enjoying the benefits of yoga as a complementary therapy today.

In many different types of illness, yoga has been shown to have major advantages. It’s a great complement to the normal routine therapies of cancer that have been known to cause major side effects and pain. Yoga’s ability to have an effect on several parts of the body, both physically and mentally, will continue to make it a popular option for cancer patients in the future.
